What are the types of marble for home decoration?

Marble is corrosion-resistant, easy to maintain, and easy to clean. It is a necessary material for decoration. But how many people know about it? In the stone market, there are many types of marble and rich patterns. What kind of floor should we choose? Next, let's take a look at the types of marble.

Artificial marble classification

1. Cement material artificial marble. This kind of artificial marble uses cement as the binder, sand as the fine aggregate, and crushed marble, granite, industrial waste residue, etc. as the coarse aggregate, which are prepared by preparation, mixing, molding, pressure steam curing, polishing, and polishing. Cheng, commonly known as terrazzo.

2. Artificial marble made of polyester material. This kind of artificial marble uses unsaturated polyester as the binder, stirs and mixes with quartz sand, marble, calcite powder, etc., and is cast into a shape. It is cured under the action of a curing agent, and is processed by demoulding, drying, polishing and other processes. production. Unsaturated polyester has good luster and light color, and can be adjusted into different bright colors.

3. Composite material artificial marble. This kind of artificial marble is composed of inorganic materials and organic polymer materials. After the fillers are bonded and formed by inorganic materials, the body is immersed in organic monomers to polymerize under certain conditions. The board and bottom layer are made of cheap and stable inorganic materials, and the surface layer is made of polyester and marble powder.

4. Sintered artificial marble. This kind of artificial marble is made by mixing feldspar, quartz, pyroxene, calcite powder and hematite powder and a small amount of kaolin, etc., using a slurry method to make blanks, using semi-dry pressing method to shape, in the kiln at a high temperature of about 1000 Sintered.

Among the four kinds of artificial marbles, polyester is the most commonly used material, which has the best physical and chemical properties, simple pattern design, and a wide range of uses, but its price is relatively high; cement materials are the cheapest, but have poor corrosion resistance. Microcracks are prone to appear and are only suitable for making plates; the other two types of artificial marble have complex production processes and are rarely used.
